Afraid not, you are still wrong, and as long as you contradict the official sources you will continue to be wrong Tongue

LEonar thought Cattie-brie from the Icewind Dale Trilogy was a mage, but she is a fighter. So a commment he made won't work so he is trying to ingore the official answer

thus he is wrong

There are two ansers to your question #1.
1:Irenicus' power was dissabled by the power of hell
or 2:Irenicus knew the demons where imune to just about everything,so he triend to use phisicle force.

For your question about the geys,I get the impression that there ether the geys who questioned you is Spellhold,or it was the gods.

they were most likely some kind of sirimuculum. Why concentrate so many gods in one building? Also if the creatures lived by the forces of magic, why coudn't they be made of magic?

Also the place is said to be a challenge/prison, not a bloody cathedral.
