MM2K runs and operates but will not respond when I try to connect. I run vista and connect through whytes mudbot. I am trying to the GUI version since I cannot find the older version. Can anyone help me please? Does anyone have a link or zip file to the old version perhaps? MM2K used to work on my computer but it seems when I connect now I get the not responding message from vista. Help please.

I can start it and make a character and complete that part. When I try to connect it says connected and then mm2k stops responding. I connect through whytes mudbot and my computer runs vista.. How do I fix this? It used to work fine. I don't know what happened. I used to use the other version besides GUI but GUI worked fine. I sinfonia

If porting to Linux doesn't work...

Try WINE.  change permissions on the executable and install with WINE, install runs just like Windows, and the program loads normally.

I have MM2K running fine on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx using WINE.

Download the exe file,
Next you will have to change the permissions on the file:  open a terminal, cd to the folder you saved the file in and type: sudo chmod +x [filename]  (the filename for the download I got from SourceForge is MudMaster2000.exe)
You will have to enter your sudo password.
Go to the actual folder and right-click and choose "Open with WINE..."and it will open and run the install files.

When it is done, click Applications in the task panel, hover over win, then Programs, MudMaster200, then the shortcut. 

It opened just like in Windows.  I didn't try anything else, but that is for more advanced users to work on.
